Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of the Children, Staff and Governors, I would like to welcome you to St Austin's Primary School and into our school family.  We hope you find our website informative and it gives you a flavour of the life at our wonderful school.  

 

 

Nursery New Starters 

You will find all the information you need within the Nursery Welcome Pack, which is available below.  We would ask that you adhere to the social distancing measures in place.  

Nursery do not have to wear a uniform but you can purchase a jogging suit from our uniform supplier, Touchline.   

Childcare Choices

15 to 30 hour funding places are available in our Nursery setting.  For more information on Childcare Choices please visit the following website:

The school offers 15 to 30 hours childcare for all 3 and 4 year olds children within our Nursery setting.  We provide 15 hourchildcare between 9am and 12 noon and 30 hours childcare between 9am and 3.30pm.  

Further wrap around is available at additional charges from 8am (Breakfast Club), Lunchtime Nursery Provision until 1pm and, if you are not eligible for 30 hours funding, Nursery pm session.

If you require your child to access the 30 hour provision with effect from January 2023 it is imperitive that you telephone the school office/e-mail the school at staustinrc@sthelens.org.uk with an eligible code. Your child may not be able to access the additional 30 hours provision if an eligible code is not received prior to the closing date.

Universal Free School Meals - pupils from Reception to Y2 currently receive a universal free school meal.  However, please use the link below to check to see if you are entitled to receive Free School Meals.  You can apply for Free School Meals even if your child is entitled to a Universal Free School Meal.  Please see the link below:

Welcoming children and young people back to school - St Helens Council

Please click on the link below to access the St Helens Council website 'Back to School'.  This is a new website for parents, carers and their children and is part of the ‘All in’ attendance strategy.  The site contains the latest government guidance for parents, some videos relating to top tips and will be added to as new documents are developed.
